Directions to and maps of the library

The library entrance is on the 3rd floor of the A building, at 475 Grand Concourse Ave., Bronx NY 10451.

The library's room number is 308. (The audio-visual room is room 309, across the hallway).

By subway: take the 2/4/5 to 149th Street and Grand Concourse. We are located directly above the subway, on the southwest corner of the intersection.

As of May 2021, this subway stop has no elevator (the MTA says it will install one soon.) If you need an elevator, the nearest subway station with an elevator is the 2/5 stop at 149th Street and Third Ave. (the Hub).

By bus: both the Bx1 and the Bx19 stop at 149th Street and Grand Concourse.

Driving Directions:

  • From Manhattan, take the FDR drive north to the Willis Avenue Bridge to the Major Deegan Expressway (87N). Proceed north to Exit 3. Take the right fork in the exit ramp to the Grand Concourse and proceed north to East 149th Street.
  • From Queens, take the Triborough Bridge to the Major Deegan Expressway. Continue north to Exit 3. Take the right fork in the exit ramp to the Grand Concourse and proceed north to East 149th Street.
  • From Westchester, take the Major Deegan Expressway south (87S) to Exit 3. Turn left at the light. Turn left again at Grand Concourse and proceed north to East 149th Street.
  • From New Jersey, take the George Washington Bridge to the Major Deegan Expressway south to Exit 3. Turn left at the light. Turn left again at Grand Concourse and proceed North to East 149th Street.

How to GET ACCESS to read articles/books online

Why sign in to your account? Signing in lets you:

  • read ebooks and online articles
  • see when your loans are due
  • renew your loan
  • request books from other CUNY colleges

You do NOT need to sign in to:

  • search with OneSearch to look for database articles, books, or videos
