Assignment: The Gospel of Wealth

You just read the excerpt from Andrew Carnegie’s Gospel of Wealth. Now let’s put it to use and see if you truly understand his basic principle.  Read the following news article about the recent minimum wage hike in Seattle (see link below). 

Then answer the following question:

  • Based on Carnegie’s writing (not your opinion on the matter), would Carnegie support or oppose the wage hike in Seattle?  Why/why not?

Be sure to use specific quotes and passages from Gospel of Wealth in your explanation.
