Guide Introduction

Use this guide to learn tools and discover resources that will help you with the historical research process.

Navigate this guide using the tabs above.  You will find recommended resources in both print and online, including databases that include:

  • peer-reviewed articles from historical journals;
  • popular articles from newspapers, magazines, and other periodicals; multimedia resources; and
  • digitized primary sources such as documents, photographs, speeches, and letters.

You'll also find websites, handouts, and citation generators that can help you organize and keep track of your sources as you continue your research, and information about formatting a paper and citing your sources correctly.
