Introduction to English 110

This Food Studies/Food Justice centered Expository Writing Course is structured around scaffolding units  to teach students writing skills in the context of studying how humankind’s relationship with food and the earth from which it grows has become corrupted by environmentally deleterious agro-industrial farming methods, the promotion of and deception about the food products it produces, the food injustice it produces and normalizes and some ways in which people can claim their rights to real food. The content is structured to help students get in touch with food, gain awareness of how its production hurts the earth and all living creatures, and how to reclaim it, even if a victim of food injustice.
