Medication administration requires sound clinical knowledge and skills from the nurse because patient care is becoming more complex. Therefore, the nurse must develop critical thinking processes and clinical reasoning when administering medications to deliver safe care. The nurses must uphold safety during medication administration to prevent errors and avoid patient harm. Therefore, the nurse’s responsibility is to correctly give the right prescribed dose to follow the best practice of medication administration, which is detrimental to saving patients’ lives.
