Hostos Library licenses many databases that provide peer-reviewed, scientific articles. Many articles that describe publicly funded research are freely available through PubMed, the National Library of Medicine's database for medical research.
Our most comprehensive allied health database, CINAHL Complete (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature) provides the full text of more than 1000 journals, as well as e-books, evidence-based care sheets, and quick lessons. This is an excellent source of peer reviewed articles for all allied health, nutrition, gerontology, and community health students.
MEDLINE Complete is the largest companion to the MEDLINE index and provides full text for over 2,500 medical journals. Many are available with no embargo to allow users to access the information as soon as it’s published.
