Departmental liaisons

Hostos librarians can support your students build their research skills in a number of ways:

  • Working with you to create in-class workshops tailored to your research assignment and learning goals;
  • Offering individual guidance to students and answers to their research questions at the reference desk on the lower level of the library;
  • Collaborating with you to create course-specific research guides;
  • Working with you to hone research assignments aligned with the resources available to Hostos students;

And we are always open to speaking with you to discuss other possibilities for collaboration.

You can find the librarian liaison to your department here.

CLICS and Inter-Library Loan

Within CUNY

Any circulating item within the CUNY system (note the "all CUNY" option within the OneSearch search bar) may be ordered via the CLICS system and picked up at Hostos, or any CUNY library of your choosing.

  • To make a CLICS request, please click on the item's record and then scroll down to "locations".
  • Once you sign in with your CUNY Login (firstname.lastname##), you can choose your pick-up location.

For more detailed information about CLICS, please see this helpful FAQ from the Grad Center library.

Outside of CUNY

If you would like an item that is not within the CUNY system, please request it through Tipasa, the Inter-Library Loan system, to have it delivered to the Hostos Library.

To order books through Tipasa, you must make an account with your name and EMPL ID.
