Databases to use

One important thing to remember when you do research (in a database or on the Web)  to find articles on your topic is to think of "key words" that describe your topic. You may have to try different words or phrases in new searches to find really good articles on your topic.

If you use Opposing Viewpoints to explore Question 1 (boys & girls and gender socialization) try a search in that database using "gender roles" as a keyword phrase. You can also use "surveillance cameras" in this database

If you use Academic Search Complete to explore the same topic, try "gender differences and psychology" or "gender differences and sociology" or "gender differences and linguistics" Also look at the Subject Terms in records of articles to get new ideas of words or phrases to use.
